Written by Benjamin Cleveland, Sarah Backhouse, Philippa Chandler, Ian McShane, Janet M. Clinton and Clare Newton, this book explores how schools can become central hubs for communities, fostering connectedness and resilience. It discusses the challenges and opportunities of integrating schools and communities, offering practical examples and evidence-based strategies. Through interdisciplinary insights, it addresses the planning, design, governance, and management aspects, emphasizing the role of schools in generating social capital.
I had the exciting chance to be part of this book's creation by crafting visual diagrams and a journey map to aid in teaching our clients. It was such a thrill to see our work showcased during the book launch, especially when the journey map was enlarged to create an immersive experience for our clients. Seeing our contributions come to life in that way was truly rewarding!
